Two Nails On Big Toes

by Justine

I have been asked to visit a client who has two toenails on each of her big toes. She has real difficulty cutting them and wants some advice. I didn't cover this in my training and can find little information on the internet. Please help!

Most people do not have 2 toenails. It is usually:

1- a thick toenail
2- a thick toenail breaking up
3- an old nail growing out with the new one right behind it pushing it out

In many of these cases the nail might be lose which then you have to make the nail and toe safe and make sure the patient is comfotable
