Painful Tender Toe

I have one toe that is painful and tender. I think that I hit it the other day but I am unsure.

A red, hot, swollen toe is always a good sign to see your Doctor. If you can see any break in the skin cleanse the area with salt water (2 mins max) and then put a clean dressing onto the area and then see your Doctor.

It could mean a break, fracture or even infection. If you have a medical complication like Diabetes or reduced circulation then it is most important to see a Doctor quickly.
